With a passion for community support and ensuring student success, Melanie began her journey in education as a Parent and Community Liaison, a role that allowed her to build bridges between schools, families, and the community. This early experience instilled a deep appreciation for the importance of collaboration and the need to create an inclusive environment for all students. In her latest role, Melanie spearheaded initiatives that aim to tackle declining student enrollment, with a primary focus on enhancing parent and student engagement while showcasing the diverse learning opportunities within Houston ISD.
