Russell is a Research Fellow supporting Josh Angrist, Parag Pathak, Peter Hull, and Chris Walters. He researches questions of school effectiveness and causality using market design and research design. Russell graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in Mathematics and Economics and wrote his thesis on optimal auctions with limited information. His research interests include econometrics, market design, and industrial organization. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and running.
