Austin Moag

Nashville Charter Collaborative

Biography

Austin Moag is the Chief of Staff at the Nashville Charter Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that partners with charter school operators, families, and community stakeholders to strengthen Nashville’s schools and communities. In this role, he coordinates cross-functional teams to facilitate planning and decision-making for 13 charter management organizations, representing over 15,000 students across 37 individual school sites. Prior to his current role, Austin served as a senior leader at Relay Graduate School of Education, overseeing academic programming and teacher candidate advisement as the Dean of Relay Nashville and later as National Dean of Teacher Programs for the institution. His earlier background in K-12 education includes serving as a teacher, instructional leader, and Principal within Nashville’s charter sector. A graduate of Cornell University, Austin first entered education as a Teach for America corps members and completed his Master of Education in Instructional Practice at Lipscomb University. Outside of work, Austin enjoys exercising, great meals with friends, and traveling with his spouse.
