Which states have the highest living standards? (And more!)

An article by The Washington Post features research by Blueprint Labs affiliate Daron Acemoglu and co-authors on the increase of age-friendly jobs. The article highlights the age-friendliness index that the authors created, which considers aspects that older workers value in a job such as more flexible hours or less physical activity. Since 1990, the number of above-average age-friendly jobs has increased by around 49 million. The results show, however, that the biggest beneficiaries of this increase are female workers with college degrees, who tend to value job characteristics similar to those of older workers.
