New Research: Summer Learning Boosts Math Performance, College Graduation

The 74’s Kevin Mahnken highlights new research on the effectiveness of summer programs, including a new study from Blueprint affiliate Sarah Cohodes. Cohodes finds that participation in a summer STEM program at an elite university boosts college enrollment and graduation. Notably, students who participated in a six-week program were 33 percent more likely to graduate with a STEM degree in four years, compared with a demographically similar control group.
