Sarah Brashear, the Director of School Planning for DC Public Schools, is celebrating her 9th year in public education. In her current role, she oversees the development of annual and long-term enrollment projections, analyzes enrollment trends to inform budget development and facilities planning, develops enrollment policies with a lens towards equity, and leads planning to open new schools. A native Texan, Sarah started her career as a high school English teacher in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in Houston. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas and a Masters in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Sarah is excited to learn from her peers across the country and experts in the field to further advance equitable enrollment efforts throughout the District.
