Manuela Raposo works for Providence Public Schools in Providence, Rhode Island, as Director of Student Placement for the past seven years. In this role, she works diligently to ensure that she can be the voice of the community she serves in ensuring equity for our children at all levels. She also runs a nonprofit called the RI Welcome Back Center, providing services to foreign trained professionals residing in RI. Among her many volunteer community commitments, she currently serves on the Clinica Esperanza Board, the Mount Hope Community Center Board, The Welcome Back Initiative Board, and The RI Welcome Back Center Board. Previous engagements include The RI Board of Nursing, The RI Kids Count Board, the RI Brain Injury Association Board, and the RI Professional Latinos Association (RIPLA) Board to name a few. Manuela is a veteran of the US Army, has two adult children, a granddaughter, and lives in Providence, Rhode Island.
